La disciplina più antica. E' il più impegnativo dei 3, per essere giocato a un buon livello deve essere praticato fin da un'età giovanile. Ogni squadra è formata da 5 giocatori. Viene usato un tamburello Ovale specifico solo per la battuta.
Lo sforzo fisico è intenso in quanto le dimensioni del campo sono notevoli 80x20 metri ( terra rossa battuta), le partite possono durare anche fino a 3/4 ore. Viene usata una pallina di gomma rigida che può viaggiare a 240km/h.

The most traditional discipline. Tam Classic is the most demanding version, and must be practised from an early age to achieve a good level. A team comprises 5 players. An oval bat is used, specific to this version of the game, only for the service. The court is large (80mx 20m) , and made of hard red earth. The physical effort of the gameis intense as a game can last upto 3/4 hours. The ball is made of rigid rubber, that can travel at up to 240km per hour.
